WHAT
Over eight exciting weeks, participants will learn choreographed programs created by current and past Malachi performers, culminating in a final performance weekend to showcase their progress and creativity. In addition to learning show material, the symposium includes hands-on workshops in flag, rifle, sabre, and movement technique, making it a comprehensive summer training opportunity guided by Malachi’s expert staff and world-class performers.
This isn’t just another summer clinic—it’s a community-building experience where new and seasoned performers alike come to sharpen their skills, explore their artistry, and find their place in the Malachi family.
WHO
The program is open to all ages and experience levels—from beginners just getting started to advanced performers looking to push themselves.
WHEN
-
Summer Symposium begins June 7 with our Kickoff Day: This full-day session is our summer launch event! While not an “audition” in the traditional sense, this is where we’ll get to know each performer, place them in appropriate casts (performance groups), and begin teaching choreography and technique that will carry throughout the season.
-
Rehearsals will then follow on Saturdays and Sundays, with some Friday evenings scheduled for specific casts.
-
Rehearsal times will be determined based on the pieces each performer is cast in.
MALACHI MINIS SUMMER SESSION (Ages 5–14)
Malachi Minis is our program for little ones. They, too, have their own Kickoff Day in early June with rehearsals typically taking place during the week.
PERFORMANCES
Summer Symposium concludes with all casts performing August 1-2 for family, friends, and the community.
